Floof the owl is becoming quite a star so here’s

Floof the owl is becoming quite a star so here’s another video of the growing owl! Floof has discovered wings, is practicing to fly . On a night I leave Floof to be free in my yoga studio and on an afternoon he/she likes to hang out in my bedroom . Floof has been living here for almost 3 weeks now ! 10 days ago I received a call to say a baby owl@was alone in the churchyard. I went with the dogs to find it and brought it home . I have never looked after a winged animal before but did my best to learn what to do ! Not sure if it’s a boy or girl so have named it Floof . For the first week Floof was happy eating raw chicken and beef but now has moved onto mice, grasshoppers and worms . Other skills Floof is learning is balancing on a branch and learning to use wings ! As well as getting me up at 4 am for food 😹💪. It’s a wonderful experience and am hoping Floof will be ready to migrate and spread wings in the autumn #babyowl #animalrescue #loveanimals #hvarisland #visithvar #helpanimals

She’s had freedom from her usual life of tied to a tree … when she’s with me it’s daily walks , a field with shelter and correct food and very important hoof care . While some people are having a lazy sunday , our hay delivery arrives . Hay cones from the mainland and the truck arrives on the ferry , hay is thrown off at a very fast chaotic speed and truck returns on the ferry it arrived on ! 😹 big thanks though to my hay suppliers who think nothing of driving a massive truck up a very small road to my house ! Thanks to my wonderful volunteers a few beers and supervision of the cats and most importantly my amazing yoga students and supporters who helped with money towards this delivery . Without you non of this would have been possible ❤️ Hay prices have gone up worldwide as well as animal food and vets bills . Here are some of our wonderful rescue cats . Every single one found on the street , some in very bad condition currently we are more than 20 ! With numbers expected to increase over the summer . When you have as many animals as me it’s a full

When you have as many animals as me it’s a full time job and more in all weathers . I don’t have lots of land or luxury barns so I have to do the best I can . The past days it’s been very windy and rainy but I can’t retreat under my duvet as there’s always work to be done . Since September I have also been taking care of lady Penelope again but because of the condition of her hooves I keep her and walk her separate from the others . I also take care of 25 cats some with special needs and of course have toto the dog! Currently I’m experiencing financial hardship with me currently wondering how I can afford my next cat food delivery. I have no luxuries myself , no holidays no going out . I’m happy really I am despite the work and I know it’s my duty in this life the help these animals. Hay will also run out soon with no new delivery until June . This means every day I gave to get the donkeys and pony out to walk and eat . If anyone would like to donate we have a go fund me in link above and also you can donate directly. In the next months I am hoping the animal charity we are in the process of doing the paperwork for will be up and running !

Sometimes I film videos for my yoga students and often the donkeys join in , I love the way here that they allow me to move around them and this beautiful song popped into my head by Kate bush when I saw the video. Zena was totally black apart from a white patch in her forehead when she arrived at 18 months old . Each year she’s become more white . I think her father was a black horse and her mum a white pony . Oscar the cat loves to ride on all the donkeys and Zena and today gave me a great opportunity to film this and play one of my favourite songs . Every year I rescue many many cats . Some are adop

Every year I rescue many many cats . Some are adopted many stay with me . On top of caring and feeding for 7 donkeys a large almost horse sized pony and a dog there are at least 20 cats 🙀😹. It’s a full time job and very expensive but I can’t bare to see these animals neglected or in the street. Donating to our go fund me helps me feed and provide medical care to all these animals . Almost 90 per cent of my income goes to helping these animals and I mostly do it alone . At least I sleep well on a night as I’m so tired 😹😴It’s hard work but it is fulfilling work . The weather was slightly cooler so we could set up a bit earlier and enjoy the feeling if not rushing , enjoy the nature the conversation and most importantly spending time with these beautiful animals.
